Coincident with Earth Day on April 22nd, the American Chemistry Council (ACC) will begin its Responsible Care® conference on April 27th, by celebrating the 20th anniversary of the program’s inception in the United States. Akzo Nobel, a proud member of the ACC, has long been an early adopter of the ideals of Responsible Care® and BU Surfactants has been a leader in the company in promoting corporate sustainability.

As a manufacturer of products used in almost every aspect of everyday life, we recognize that how we treat our employees, our customers, and the communities in which we operate is just as important as what they make.

To this end, we are continually looking for new ways to protect the health and safety of our employees through behavioral based programs and to uphold its commitment to the environment through our Responsible Care® programs. We also support and promote health, education, and other social programs in the communities in which it does business.
